Study design: Crowd-sourced-data

Treatment: 328 study participants suffering from birch pollen, grass pollen and/or ragweed pollen allergies were taking 1 capsule of Lectranal^® Acute a day for 8 weeks during the pollen season of 2018 starting two weeks prior the beginning of the season. Participants experiencing acute symptoms were allowed to increase the intake to 2 capsules a day. The crowd-sourced symptoms data collected with the help of the pollen diary with almost 305 000 entries served as the baseline and were used for comparison with the participants of the study.

Lectranal^® has a positive effect on nasal allergy symptoms with better results than the baseline group.

 

Efficacy and safety of Astragalus membranaceus in the treatment of patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis

Study design: Double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial

Treatment: 48 patients with moderate to severe seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR) who are allergic to specific pollens were divided randomly into 2 groups receiving either Lectranal^® or a placebo (2 capsules, twice daily) for 6 weeks.

Lectranal^® is efficient and safe in the treatment of allergic rhinitis and has significantly better results for several outcomes when compared to placebo.
